Last of the Winter Ales

By admin | March 23, 2007

It’s 62 degrees outside on my deck.  62.  Sun shining on me and Sheila(laptop) as I sip on the last of the Winter Ales.  As beautiful and peaceful of a moment which rarely exists these days, it will be the last of them for probably a week.  Why?  Maybe cause tomorrow my 2 youngers sisters, and a friend of theirs, are coming to stay with my wife and I.  For a week.  7.5 days.

Don’t get me wrong, it will be extremely fun having them here, but they are teenagers, 16(on Monday) & 13.  Loud, silly and full of energy.  I’m old.  One score and 7.5 years.  I like to think I’m still loud, silly and full of energy, but who am I kidding.

We’ll see how the week goes, how much more hair I lose.  :)  At least I can still dominate them at Wii Tennis.  That’s a good lesson for any kid to learn….respect your elders, at least during video games.

  1. Ron, you’d make a good dad. I can imagine you’re telling them all of the fun stories of what childhood was like for you.
