I LOVE Charter (not)
By admin | July 17, 2007
For the last week or so, our cable internet service has reached an all time low. I’ve had enough with this asses so I decided to give Qwest DSL a try. Box came in mail today, setup was ridiculously easy. Their modems have built in wi-fi adapters and a router so it would be perfect if you don’t need lan connections.
The connection is okay, a little over 1MB. Much less than the 2.5 I was getting with Charter, but at least I won’t have a week of no internet again. Even our TV signal is bad now, looks worse than bunny ears on the major network channels. Pathetic.
So long Charter, it’s been fun. We can stay in touch via ilovecharterNOT.com. I plan on getting this up for people to bitch about charter, god knows there are a million other unhappy customers out there.

Posted by: Kyle on August 27th, 2007 at 12:02 pmI hate Charter as well. Scum of the earth! Mostly because of billing issues and customer service.
I switched to Citescape (www.citescape.com) a year or so ago and have to say I am very happy with them. If something is bonkers, I call and a human answers right away (OMG!). Usually they are able to come out the same day (if need be) and fix it. With Charter you have to wait at least a week. As far as speed goes, I get less than 2.5 Mbps too (I think) but just for customer service alone, I recommend them. (they’re local too). I can still play my favorite games with good latency.
