Hell scheduled to freeze over Feb 5th

Only 10 more days until the 2008 caucuses in Minnesota!! This election cycle started early in 2007 with a bunch of Democrats & Republicans announcing their candidacy. After months of national coverage, debates and a few caucuses/primaries it will finally be time for Minnesotans to weigh in on the candidates.
Now for the bombshell….and the reason hell is freezing over….I’m voting at the Republican caucus! Yep, that’s right. Liberal, tree-hugging, anti-war Ron is voting for the guys in Red this time around. Before you head right for the comments section to flame me, hear me out.
I’m supporting Ron Paul. He is not a neo-con like most of the other Republicans, he’s believes strongly in the constitution unlike most in Washington. Here are the 4 main reasons I’m supporting Ron Paul:
- Ron is Anti-war. Unlike the Democrats who claim to be, and announce all sorts of BS troop withdrawal plans, Ron will start pulling troops out soon after he’s elected. We can’t afford to have troops dying everyday in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran (war tba soon I’m sure). This war spending is out of control and needs to be stopped ASAP.
- Ron will end the Federal Reserve. Most people don’t know that the Fed is a private banking institution, not part of the federal government. They basically give money to the US government, oh yea, with interest. How does that make any sense? Thomas Jefferson on central banking: “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.” So the Fed can decide to print more money, which devalues the dollars in circulation…aka inflation. Currently the dollar is only worth .04$ of the original 1$ because of inflation. Many suspect the dollar will be replaced by the “amero” as part of the North American Union formed by US, Canada, Mexico.
- He’s the only candidate (left) not completely full of crap. Listen to all of the candidates, Dems & Republicans, and you will hear promises, promises, crap, lies, crap, promises. Look at Ron’s record, he backs up his talk.
- ImWithRon, I mean come on…is it just coincidence? I think not. I AM with Ron!
I would love to hear what everyone has to say about this election. I’m sure I’m going to catch heat from this, mostly offline I know. But at least I’m participating in the process.
